Djmt1's post about the fictional wagons made me remember a dream I had a couple of years ago. You know how dreams go, you wake up, think that this should be turned into a movie and seconds later everything is gone. This one stuck with me however. When asked what I was doing professionally I answered that I was running a body shop doing E34 coupe conversions. A few days later I even googled that and found a few tasteful 'shops. They somehow have been in the back of my head ever since. If such a car existed I would rock one as a dd! (Minus the chin spoiler, of course!)
This 'shop has a little 8-series DNA in it, and I like it even more. Longer doors, less rear side windows.
The heck, I might even extend this fictional business to E38s.
And I probably wouldn't turn down a customer requesting a E 32 conversion.
So what is your fictional poison? What non-existant version does get your juices flowing?

Do concept cars count? I wish Peugeot had started selling the 505 coupe.

Modern Jaguar XJ Coupe.
Man these things are so cool.
They even took them racing.
Heck I'll even accept an older one.

I wish there was a liftback version of the BRZ/FRS/GT86, like the AE86.

FoST Coupe
Mustang shooting brake with suicide doors in back
4-door Challenger (not the Charger)

Oh god, these (real) XJ Coupes have been on my "WANT!!!!-List" for quite a while. Nothing screams sophisticated more than those.

I know, it has that low slung look like a Merc CL, man I wish they built it since it would be worth pennies today.

What are your thoughts on this?

I have seen that Lagonda before and I think it's one of the most beautiful cars ever made. 70s-80s styling is my favourite.

Well, if we post these gifs why not start really low?
Perfectly harmless, but a little pixelation turns our minds into WTF???-mode.

I just wish cars came still came with choices of body styles. We need more mid-size and full-size wagons as well as coupes and convertibles that aren't pitched as sports models.

Homologated modern version of a CLK GTR, loosely based on the current E-coupe. With either the M178 or a new V12 based on the M278.

I think it's hogwash that Rover never saw fit to grace us with coupes of the SD1 and the 75. There's a couple convincing renders and 'shops of them out there and they look fantastical.

The more I think of it the subaru baja is my spirit animal. awd would be nice and a bed for running greasy car parts around.

There's a one-off XJ40 (or rather XJ81 as it's a V12) coupe out there. Damn cool car :)

CTS-V Wagon.

Dat 75 coupe. I'd rock either of those above, although I think I'd prefer a little more wheelbase on the SD1 to bring the good proportions back.
Props if the 75 coupe was a V8 :)

Great question :)
I'd have liked to see an XJ40 estate, to the point where I think I'm going to have to make my own at some point. They made a prototype which looks excellent:
I've also seen a couple of Alfa 75 Coupe renders/shops that look like they have promise (although that niche is covered by the GTV6 really):
There's a couple of Triumph variations I'd like to see as well. A 2-door Dolomite Sprint would have excellent, and given that they already had a 2-door version of that bodyshell (the Toledo 2-door) I don't see why they didn't offer that as an option.
I've also seen a kickass 2-door Triumph 2500 conversion. Creates a very good looking car :)
